Understanding consumer and stakeholder needs, to elevate trajectory.

Placing people first is what matters most.

Building products with a foundational approach.

My passion for creative problem solving sparked when I began pursuing my career as a professional snowboard instructor. Through teaching at Bridger Bowl, a non-profit community ski area, I was able to develop a deep skill set with effective coaching for broad and specific needs. Eventually, leading to becoming a fully nationally certified snowboard instructor; with endorsements to teach any ability level in flexible terrain situations, from children to seniors, and in cross-discipline scenarios.

Being a snowboard instructor and continuously solving client needs’, inspired me to learn more about formally pursuing a previous interest in design. Through another experience as an instructor at the Yellowstone Club, I used my teaching, interpersonal, and snowboarding skills to develop a high customer satisfaction rate and build repeat client relationships among club members. I identified and solved my clients’ unique problems, by delivering uniquely tailored lessons. I would save the organization valuable resources by providing clients with effective prescriptions in an efficient manner. My process of designing custom lessons centered on achieving client goals and organizational expectations by delivering unique lessons with tangible results as their sole instructor. I was called on by supervisors because of my proven ability to successfully make progress in various situations, effective leadership in creating a positive learning environment, and fostering enthusiasm for progression in the sport.

I find great satisfaction in helping people create and attain goals. As an experienced snowboard instructor, I naturally empathize and advocate for others. UX Research/Design allows me to continue my pursuit of making a positive impact on a greater audience and further develop my creative problem-solving skills. I would like to work in an experience strategy role with a collective team working towards creating products that make a difference in a community-driven organization.
